“Helping people see possibilities that circumstances, expectations, systems, or old patterns may have made difficult to see.”

MEET YOUR PRACTITIONER AND GUIDE
I’m Jerome Murdock, founder of Remind the Mind,
a certified clinical hypnotherapist, coach, program developer,
and creator of How to: YOU!
Much of my life’s work has centered on one enduring question:
What helps people recognize possibility
in themselves — and actually move toward it?
Long before Remind the Mind had a name, that question was already showing up in my life. As a child, listening to my grandmother recount dreams that seemed to anticipate things that later happened sparked my curiosity about intuition, human behavior, spirituality, and the ways our inner lives shape our choices.
But that curiosity was only one part of my path.
At 15, I helped co-found a youth empowerment organization in Washington, D.C. that would later grow internationally. It marked the beginning of decades of work in advocacy, personal development, and helping people turn possibility into action. I later worked as a Capitol Hill liaison for a national women’s advocacy organization. Whether overseeing a Los Angeles employment center serving people experiencing homelessness or welcoming international dignitaries through my work at Getty House Foundation, the larger purpose remained remarkably consistent:
Different Populations. Different Circumstances. Consistent purpose.
Helping people see possibilities that circumstances expectations, systems, or old patterns may have made difficult to see.

Working at Los Angeles’s legendary Bodhi Tree Bookstore deepened my exploration of intuition, energy work, spirituality, regression, and the subconscious mind. Eventually, those interests and my professional experience with behavior, communication, motivation, and change stopped feeling separate.
They became Remind the Mind.
Today, I integrate approaches including hypnotherapy, coaching, behavioral-change strategies, reflective practices, and spiritual and energetic work to help people better understand the choices they make, why they make them, what still serves them—and what no longer needs authority over their future.
That philosophy also became the foundation for How to: YOU!, my 7-week Lifestyle Alignment & Behavioral Change Program designed to bridge the gap between intention and action while helping people align how they live with who they are now.
